DAVAO CROCODILE PARK

On October 30, 2011, we only decided to have lunch afloat Davao River at Riverwalk Grill but the floating restaurant was not available that day, and Djuzamdjin was amazed by the pair of Philippine Deers inside Davao Crocodile Park he could peek on from the resto. We still had lunch at Riverwalk though, and instead of the Davao River water trek, we treated the little boy to see the animals inside the Park. This is my third time here and it seems to have a little improvement each time I visit.
A 40-year old crocodile's skeleton preserved and displayed near the park exit
Aside from various animals, kids would love to play with animal statues. Even adults loves to pose with these stone beasts. ^_^
Djuzamdjin can't believe a high five with a lion.
Don't let your kids slide down the elephants nose...hehehe
Dare this?!
Little Dju able to ride his favorite character "BANGIS"
ahhhhhhh! I'm about to be swallowed!
The park also parades a number of birds. There are even uncaged birds you can interact with, and birds you can talk with. Here are some of the birds you can see inside the park.

Hawk
Parrot
Owl? not really sure...^_^
Various Birds
Ostritch
Casowary
They also have a few number of mammals. Mostly in their cages.

Tigers. On my second visit, when the tigers were just introduced, there were only two tigers. Now the park have three. Here, we can see the park's efforts in breeding and multiplying the number of animals nearing extinction.
The lazy Philippine Bear Cat
These Orangutans were also just a couple on my first and second visit. Now the lady is mother cuddling her baby (in this picture)
Philippine Wild Boar
Now, we go to the cold blooded reptiles.

The crocodile opens its mouth to remind you that you are now within its territory. So back off!
The friendly, Philippine Sail Fin Dragon
Look at that!!
You could actually touch the dragon but we will never know when we can provoke it to fight back.

At P35.00 we could pose with a baby croc or an albino burmese python and have a picture taken.

If you don't have a private ride, the best way to reach Davao Crocodile Park is thru a taxi. We, coming from near the Ateneo de Davao University cost us around P120.00 taxi fare.
