HAGIMIT FALLS

Just a few steps down are the levels of Hagimit Falls
Hagimit Falls is the most known falls resort in Samal. There are other falls in the island but this one had a little development to cater tourists who loves resorts. There is a concrete stairs down to the levels of the falls. There are also Huts where you could shed and have your lunch or snacks.

Like a modern day Adam & Eve
The moderate fall of water allows you to have a shower. The cold, fresh drop would certainly cool you down having been sweat trekking down. The steps are still a little tiring though it was made concrete and easy.

wet wet wet
A swim in the greenish water gives a cooling and soothing effect against the prickly heat of sun. Sinkers need not worry for most part is shallow on summer.

Roam around and find the best spot to pose with nature. Tourists are asked to help clean up and maintain the beauty of the falls. Refrain from throwing your garbage anywhere and no vandalisms. Actually those are basic rules we should be following wherever we are, not just here.

The surroundings of the falls may be developed but the waterfalls itself is as virgin as me. Nothing was touched. The only touch that could happen here is fresh water to skin.

Going up! going home!
How to get here? I'm not really sure. We were on board a private vehicle and our driver was also asking directions. Plus, I wasn't really on my best shape these days. I was suffering from discoloration, my entire color was turning yellow. But if you wish to come, the easiest way is to board an Island Express Bus. Bus fare would include ferry fees since the bus will be ferried across from Davao City to Island Garden City of Samal. One option is to tell the conductor that your stop is at Babak Centro. There you can find a pedicab or "habal-habal" (single motorcycle) which could deliver you to the main entrance of the falls. Or another option is to tell the conductor that your stop is at Hagimit Falls, since the bus would pass by the falls' crossing. From there you can take a mid range walk to the entrance.
